DaVinci Resolve is a good option and Blender has a built-in video editor that the s really good. There are plenty of free or cheap options for image a and video editing. Fusion can take quite a bit of learning to get used to but I highly recommend Casey Farris on YouTube. You get their version of After Effects (Fusion) and Audition (Fairlight) in one package, along with tremendous color grading (what they were known for before doing the full editing suite).
